Hi there,

Affinitive, a social media marketing and technology company based in New
York City, is seeking a skilled freelance PHP/MySQL/AJAX developer
*immediately* to work with our development team on a fun, cutting-edge
<overused phrase>Web2.0</overused phrase> project combining social
networking, user-created content, media publishing, and content syndication.
Although this will initially be a 3-month contract position, there is a
chance for it to evolve into a full-time role. You must be able to work
on-site at our office in Chelsea.

You should have 2+ years experience with object-oriented PHP development
(PHP4 for this project, but PHP5 experience is a plus), MVC design patterns
and frameworks (you should be able to get up to speed on new frameworks
quickly), MySQL development, social networking, Smarty, AJAX libraries
(Prototype/JQuery), CVS/SVN version control, RSS, web services, "widgets",
and must be comfortable working in a *nix-based environment (any flavor is
fine). You may also be challenged to a round of Guitar Hero II by other
members of our team (your choice of song). A fun personality and good taste
in music is a big plus!
