This is a full time, on-site, salaried Lead PHP Developer position paying
$100,000-$110,000 depending on experience + benefits.  No telecommuting
allowed.  US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Local candidates

A marketing, tourism and partnership organization of New York City, is
seeking a full-time, Lead Developer for its Interactive Media team.  
 
The Lead Developer will be a key member of the Interactive team, reporting
to the VP of Development and partnering closely with the product, creative,
and business teams.  This position is an in-house, full-time, permanent
position and requires strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and OOP concepts; a
desire to work with the latest technology; the ability to work nimbly and
independently in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for NYC is key.


Candidates must have a proven track record of translating project
requirements into functional products, familiarity with agile development
practices, and experience working on large, public-facing websites.

Requirements: 

- Minimum 5 years of PHP and MySQL development experience. 
- Minimum 5 years of JavaScript development experience. 
- Must be comfortable working in a Windows/IIS environment. 
- Must be familiar with CMS applications and frameworks. 
- Some experience working with PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter. 

Pluses
- Experience with jQuery or other JavaScript Frameworks. 
- Experience with ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter. 
- Experience leveraging third-party and social APIs
(Foursquare/Facebook/Twitter). 
- Experience with Versioning Control Systems such as Git, CVS, or SVN. 
- Mobile development (Mobile Web/iOS/Android). 
 
Responsibilities: 
- Assist in the migration of the current environment to a full LAMP stack
later in the year. 
- Maintain / Extend our website via the use of custom and purchased modules,
add-ons, and applications. 
- Promote development best practices. 
- Work with the project management and front-end team to implement site and
architecture changes. 
- Meet the technical requirements of our various marketing programs and
initiatives.
