*Drupal 7/PHP Developer*



A web based educational mentoring portal is seeking a high level Drupal
7/php programmer for a website development project and possible ongoing
development contract position. Our service provides 1-on-1 career coaching
using the latest web technology including appointment setting, live video
conferencing, and real time testing. Industry professionals are paired with
students and guide them through a three-tier structure of development,
including our online curriculum, to help them better navigate their career
search



We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with a developer who
is passionate about education, comfortable working with our existing custom
built Drupal modules, and possesses the necessary skills to create new
modules, which will expand and improve the UI/UX functionality.  The
immediate need is a development project.  We need someone to use our
existing code and website to build out additional platforms.  After
completion, we will look at a more permanent position that will involved
developing new platforms to enhance our program and maintain the website



Qualifications:

   - 3-5 years of PHP system architecture and development (Zend
   certification a big plus)
   - 3+ years Drupal (must have D7 experience)
   - 3+ years MySQL database integration
   - Knowledge of Mongo DB (or willingness to learn)
   - Proven ability to develop new modules & edit existing ones
   - Familiar with custom content types as modules
   - Experience integrating third party systems into the Drupal environment
   - Thorough knowledge of interactive video content delivery
   - Strong written and oral communication skills
   - Experience working independently and/or in small groups

Additional Qualifications:

   - Working knowledge of mobile device content delivery optimization
   - Knowledge of current e-learning platforms
   - A history of working in an Academic/Educational environment

Responsibilities

   - Clean up existing code structure and use existing code to develop
   additional
   - Develop custom Drupal modules by writing original code
   - Maintain and update existing custom modules
   - Adhere to Drupal module development standard practices
   - Maintain and implement new relationships between MySQL and Mongo
   databases
   - Document software specifications, comment code, and write procedural
   papers
   - Participate in overall planning of site improvements and future
   development
   - Develop Drupal powered mobile applications
   - Assist with Drupal site administration and configuration/development
   requests

What we offer:  Rates / salary depends on experience
