1.       Midtown Media Company - Back End PHP - up to $110K + great benefits

 

.         WordPress experience

.         PHP mastery

.         Working closely with editorial, advertising, and operations staff
on new development and maintenance

.         Monitoring, troubleshooting, responding and fixing downtime and
events

.         Verifying and testing backend code

.         Identifying tasks which require automation and automate them

.         Proactively monitoring app and servers for security threats and
fix

.         Identifying patterns in malicious users, comments, and uploads and
remove

.         Running/building tools for various server, database, and traffic
statistics

.         Monitoring web daemons and tweak settings as needs and resources
change

.         Supporting partner relationships (email, analytics, advertising,
etc)

.         Sharing research and knowledge with co-workers

.         Assisting junior staff with development

 

 

2.       Media Company / eComm Exp - PHP/Magento or Zend

This media company is downtown and they need back end developers with
Magento experience.  If you have Zend they will train.  Salary is up to
$125K DOE.  They also have another position up to $100K DOE.

Technical skills required:  

*	Zend framework experience
*	Magento experience
*	Excellent LAMP developer
*	Demonstrable Object Oriented experience (preferably in PHP)
*	Good understanding of current HTML/CSS/XHTML standards
*	Demonstrable experience of working with Large Systems
*	Understanding of why array_key_exists() is better than isset()

Technical skills desired:

*	Linux experience / System Administration skills would be an
advantage
*	Java script coding skills
*	Any Extreme Programming / RAD skills
*	Subversion experience

 

3.       Ecommerce with Editorial - Profitable and booming start up -
Excellent Market Salaries + equity!  

Looking for solid back end php as well as front end developers.  Ecommerce
experience a plus (not a must)

*	Expert knowledge of the full LAMP stack
*	Solid understanding of OOP and data structures
*	Extensive programming experience with PHP5 and JavaScript
*	Comfortable with managing large sets of data
*	Working knowledge of Source Control tools, such as Git, SVN
*	Working knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks, such as Kohana, Cake, Zend
*	Working knowledge of CSS, jQuery
*	Proficient in managing data with MySQL
*	3+ years professional development experience
*	Great attention to detail
*	Quick thinker and problem solver
*	Can implement elegant and robust solutions while adhering to coding
standard
*	Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*	BS or MS in Computer Science

Bonus Skills:

*	Working knowledge of Facebook development
*	Working knowledge of NoSQL technologies, such as MongoDB, CouchDB,
etc.
*	Working knowledge of Node.js, Socket.IO
*	Working knowledge of HTML5
*	Experience with CDNs, such as Akamai, Amazon CloudFront, etc.
