This is a full time, on-site, salaried Software Engineer position located in
New York City paying $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience + benefits. No
telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Local

Our client, located in Union Square, is a VC-backed social media startup.
Their high-traffic web property draws an international presence, with 7,000
new members registering daily! They are still small (less than 10 people)
and so all of the employees have a tremendous impact on the next generation
of their product, as they innovate new features, enhancements and
functionality. 

The perfect candidate will have 2 to 5 years web development experience with
at least *some* prior experience working for a small startup, comfortable
wearing many hats when working in a small team environment. Even if you're
not a jack of all trades, if you have mad coding skills we'd still like to
hear from you. We're looking for 2 strong developers -- one front-end / UI
Engineer and one backend (PHP) Engineer. 

Desired Experience:  

* Strong interest in solving complex problems 
* Experience with consumer facing, high-traffic, high performance websites  
* Passionate about technology (side projects) 
* Knowledge of third-party APIs like facebook, twitter or mobile development
a plus 
* PHP5, MySQL for back-end developer 
* Mastery / breadth of technologies for front-end developer
